The Afghan Canadian Youth Council (ACYC) welcomes individuals who are passionate about empowering Afghan Canadian youth and strengthening our community. Membership provides an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, participate in programs and events, contribute to community initiatives, and help shape the future of ACYC.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to:

  • Afghan Canadian youth and young adults.
  • Individuals who support the mission and values of ACYC.
  • Community members, professionals, students, and volunteers interested in contributing to the organization.

Membership Categories

Regular Member

Individuals who support the mission of ACYC and wish to actively participate in programs, events, and organizational activities.

Youth Member

Youth and students interested in leadership development, mentorship, volunteerism, and community engagement.

Professional Member

Professionals, mentors, and community leaders who wish to support youth development and contribute their expertise.

Honorary Member

Individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions to ACYC or the Afghan Canadian community.

How to Become a Member

Step 1: Complete the Membership Application

Fill out the online membership application form available on our website.

Step 2: Review of Application

The ACYC Membership Committee or Board will review the application to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and values.

Step 3: Membership Approval

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email.

Step 4: Membership Fee

Upon approval, members may be required to pay the annual membership fee, if applicable.

Step 5: Welcome to ACYC

Once approved, members will receive a welcome package and information about upcoming programs, events, and opportunities to get involved.

Membership Responsibilities

Members are expected to:

  • Uphold the values and mission of ACYC.
  • Treat all members and participants with respect and professionalism.
  • Contribute positively to the organization and community.
  • Comply with ACYC policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
